Gs Audio PLATINUM 4000 Subwoofer – 12″/30cm – 2000W RMSNOW AVAILABLE THE NEW MK2 VERSION WITH CONVEX CARBON DUST COVER, REPLACING THE PREVIOUS PLATINUM 4000 SERIES. The series released in 2024 of GS Audio Platinum 4000 subwoofers, available in sizes 10″/25 cm – 12″/30 cm – 15″/38 cm – 18″/46 cm, represents the evolution of the previous Platinum 3000. Handmade in our Italian headquarters, the subwoofers can also be customized upon request.Major new features compared to the 3000 series:The new edition has introduced major improvements on magnet and voice coil, which together have made it possible to achieve a power handling capacity of up to 2000 W RMS, in both D1 and D2 Ohm versions.Magnet assembly: 220 mm ferrite ring with “UFO” design polar plates for increased power handling, ventilation and voice coil cooling, as well as a modern and distinctive look.Coil: 81 mm diameter, 4-layer, 100% pure copper winding on high-temperature aluminum backing.Spider: double layer of red Nomex, hand-sewn in Italy, lightweight and rigid for maximum efficiency; sewn tinsel to eliminate unwanted noise and vibration.Cone: pressed cellulose with 30 mm round foam suspension, increasing efficiency without compromising excursion.Edge: pneumatic rubber, for maximum pressure seal in any box.Clamps: spring push, compatible with cables up to 16 mm².Dust cover: made of carbon, with cone stiffening and thermal dissipation function, thanks to the conductive properties of the material. PerformanceAvailable in sizes 10″ – 12″ – 15″ – 18″, all in dual 1 Ohm or dual 2 Ohm versions. With a resonance frequency (Fs) between 33 and 36 Hz, they are perfect for everyday listening (hip hop, bassone, trap).For faster genres (techno, EDM, high BPM), it is recommended to reduce the boxes by about 2 inches in width so that the speaker is faster and raise the box tuning by 2-3 Hz.Due to the 2000 W RMS power rating, the best match is with GS Audio amplifiers of 1500 to 3000 W RMS.Drawings with exact boards for making the recommended boxes are also available in the data sheet. Spare parts and serviceStandard and custom reconditioning kits are available for all GS Audio Made in Italy subwoofers and speakers, as well as original coils, spiders, cones and spare parts.
